We Call How the Magic of Music
We call that the magic of music
We Call How the Magic of Music says, The Limited Warranty Band his or her saga continues. If I remember right, it had been the summer of 2009. Two of the band members had recently relocated from Nevada and Oregon to the amazing Big Sky country of Montana and new house of another alt country band music lovin group. Like any newly reformed group we had been trying to do what is right. Dreaming of creating a mark and hopefully finding a break somewhere along the way comes up, but really seemed similar to that illusive dream, than the usual hope of reality. Whats funny is how life takes you sometimes so when.
do what is right
We started to realize new twists that were entering onto the music scene and a few changes were in order to stay ahead of the curve. Country piano and slide guitar can only take you so far as well as the reality is that like anything in life, it takes hard work to obtain any real success no matter what it is. In this business one thing is constant. The ever evolving sound of music. If you wish to have a chance at getting heard, you had better stay in tune with the changes. Wow, I just realized how bad of the pun that was!! Oops!
Bands are just like the relationships we have in life. They have there good and the bad but a couple of things have to make it all work. Cooperation, share exactly the same common goals, and stay willing to evolve and develop your skill like a group. To do it without a big ego or attitude is when it usually falls apart. Needless to say over the next couple of months this was our focus. With hi hopes, and without every one of the drama that often times creeps in. After all, theres a girl in the band! In order to be clear, thats probably why were still together.
With all the new addition of a singer/keyboard player with good improvisational skills, we changed up the music to include, classic rock, country, blues, and originals. On this part of the country, people manage to like all 3 genres using a passion. So toss in some AC/DC, Brad Paisley, and a few Stevie Ray Vaughan and its a fantastic combination. Because we love all that, we mix in all that with a twist of 80s plus some new style country and also you get The Limited Warranty Band Sound, for the original tracks.
Most of us had the same goal and give people an experience that was real and could be different every time. Leave em with something to keep in mind, as Tammy would say! That always scared me a bit, but there ya goits out there.
The question as been asked, What is your why? Why do we make music? The simple answer is, because of the magic. When you get the right styles with the right musicians, sometimes things can happen when you put it altogether. We call the magic of music. A very important factor we love to do each year is block out the weekend for the local Blues Festival, so that as a band go down and check out a mecca of artist both known and unknown to all of us and watch them perform. Its amazing annually and every time weve gone, their is a surprise artist that totally amazes us! We truly love ecommerce, and love to share these experiences with other people.
To be a part of an event that connects with individuals and makes it an unforgettable memory for everyone involved is a privilege. For a musician, its whenever you pull off a nothing you've seen prior lead or melody line, a fill on keyboards or some other instrument, that for one brief moment in time becomes a truly unique event. It cant be duplicated, and it may never happen again. Once we see other artists perform, like at the blues festival, I will say, I was theirI saw thatit was awesome! Thats an incredible feeling to be a part of.
But perhaps even more to the point than all of that, is YOU, the listener, that produces all
of it matter.
Good quality to many more, hopefully amazing, definitely unique, and constantly worth while experiences along this musical journey. Heres to hopping that you will be part of that journey.
